The Client: HSBC is one of the largest banking and financial services organizations in the world, with an international network in over 83 countries.
Business Problem : Regional differences driven by different regulatory, compliance and internal human resources policies left HSBC with the challenge to account for the needs of more than 80 countries within a single, integrated solution at the global level.
Solution : To support HSBC’s global HR transformation initiatives, the Emtec team provided regional project management support, PeopleSoft functionality leadership and subject matter expertise throughout their HCM v8.9 upgrade- minimizing or eliminating system customizations where possible and identifying business process improvements.
Results : SBC’s upgrade established global standardized processing, eliminated customizations, streamlined their business processes, and reduced HR administration activities which increases time spent on value-added tasks.
