The Client: A leading media company needed a mechanism to track and drive advertising sales via web and mobile channels.
Business Problem : The existing sales system relied on Excel spreadsheets for tracking with no centralized system. This made it difficult to monitor approval of price quotes, and allowed for un-approved advertising packages/pricing to be sold. They needed a system that provided tracking of their packages, pricing, outstanding proposals and forecasting within a secure environment.
Solution : Wave6 implemented Salesforce.com to replace their existing spreadsheet-based pricing and proposal system. The Force.com platform was leveraged to extend the functionality of Sales Cloud to meet the client’s challenges including a package and pricing catalog.
