WorkCenters: Meeting User Demand for Simple, Intuitive Business Applications

Simple, intuitive user interfaces on the internet, tablets, smartphones, and the like build the expectation that business systems will also evolve to simple, intuitive, applications. Stephen Gier, Emtec Senior Consultant, will dive into new PeopleSoft functionality such as WorkCenters and dashboards that meet these expectations. From a functional perspective this session will cover how WorkCenters meet user demand for simple, intuitive business systems. It explains what a WorkCenter is and is not, and discusses the value of using a WorkCenter as a primary page for users. The presentation wraps up with lessons learned from prior WorkCenter experiences.

She has proven project management skills and experience streamlining procedures while increasing departmental efficiencies through establishing objectives, determining priorities, effectively managing time, and fostering cross-functional relationships. Kristen is an accomplished Human Resources professional with a demonstrated track record of progressive growth and experience in human resources.

Stephen Gier, Emtec Senior Consultant, is a Business Systems Manager with extensive corporate and consulting experience in strategic planning, process/system design, project management, security, and training. He has worked with the PeopleSoft application for twenty years and has expertise in human resources and training systems as well as a proven track record in project management. Stephen is recognized as an expert analyst with excellent documentation skills. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with professional accounting experience and also an Oracle Certified consultant.
