HSBC was having difficulty managing HR processes across its enterprise. Because of international variations in regulatory, compliance and HR policies, many of its global offices were using the legacy HR system differently. Further, some weren’t even using the same version of the application. As a result, maintaining the system for these various needs—and ensuring it could perform around the clock for HSBC’s global offices--was a challenge for IT staff.
The company wanted a more globally integrated, single-source system that could meet its global enterprise needs as well as the needs of its regional offices. It also wanted a new application that could offer enhanced functionalities that would enable its HR staff to become more efficient.
